Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup
serves 4
Ingredients:
2 slices of bread per person
2 slices of cheese per person
2 TBSP of softened butter for your group
1 can, Campell’s Condensed Tomato Soup
Directions:
Make the tomato soup following directions on the can.
For Campbell’s Condensed Tomato Soup, open can carefully and discard lid.
Empty contents into a small saucepan. Add one can of water from the sink. Whisk together until smooth.
Heat soup on the stovetop on medium heat until it steams. Stir frequently with a heat-resistant scraper.
When warm, use a ladle to serve the soup into the bowls from your kitchen.
Heat electric griddle to 300°.
Spread butter evenly across one side of all pieces of bread.
Place two slices of cheese inside the sandwich, keeping the buttered side out.
Place all sandwiches on the griddle, making sure the buttered side is showing on the bottom and the top.
Cook for 2 minutes, or until the bottom bread is browned.
Flip sandwiches over and brown the other side.
Serve onto plates with flipper and let cool 2 minutes before slicing and eating.
Enjoy the soup and sandwich separately, or try dipping your grilled cheese into your tomato soup!
